We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily tasks that will support our financial team. This is a hybrid position and candidate must be within a commutable distance to the office located in Sacramento California.

You will help our accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions, by assisting with the following:
- Daily finance and accounting activities
- Managing general ledger accounts
- Support duties related to accounts payable and receivable functions
- Provide accurate reports and metrics to Accounting Lead
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Assist with payroll processing and management of employee benefit programs
Requirements and skills
- Prior work experience as an Accounting Assistant
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software ( QuickBooks preferred)
- Solid organization and reasoning skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with others both in person and in writing
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field preferred
- Background with ConnectWise is helpful
